Culver School District is seeking a High School Secial Education & Social Studies Teacher. This would be an ideal position for a flexible candidate with excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for instructing high school age students, grades 9-12. The candidate must be able to use highly effective engagement practices and differentiated instruction to reach the various needs of our learners. The candidate must be able to interact with students, parents, colleagues and community members in a positive, respectful, and responsible manner. The candidate is expected to believe in the success of every student and to inspire them to achieve that success. In addition, the candidate should feel very comfortable teaching collaboratively and thematically across academic disciplines and to multi-age groups in a STEM/Project Based Learning environment (PBL). Fostering positive and worthwhile relationships with students is a priority.

Qualifications:

• Current Oregon Teacher License with appropriate endorsements for Social Studies and Special Education
  
• Knowledge of web-based IEP system
• Experience with Special Education at the High School level
• Master's Degree in Social Studies Related field preferred
• Willingness and qualification to teach Dual Credit courses preferred
• Additional endorsements preferred
• Knowledge of, or strong interest in, STEM/PBL education is preferred
• Knowledge of current concepts, methods and procedures for curriculum development and implementation
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate in a positive manner
• Knowledge and implementation of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS)
• Skilled at Formative & Summative Assessment Practices that align with the CCSS
• Skilled at Differentiated Instructional Practices
• Skilled at Student Engagement Practices
• Desires to be a part of the Culver school community outside of the classroom
• Other skills in coaching, club advising, leadership, student council, etc., preferred

Salary Range:  $36,154 - $72,155 & Additional SPED Teacher Stipend of $3,254 - $4,435
