Under general supervision, the Substitute School Bus Driver operates school buses and/or other District vehicles to transport children to and from school and related activities in a safe, timely and economical manner. Duties assigned to employee include, but are not limited to, cleaning of buses and inspecting the vehicle to insure safe operation. Safety and welfare of the students is always the top priority. The school bus driver reports to the Transportation Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Valid ODE Bus Driver Certification
- Valid Class B CDL with Endorsements
- Previous bus driving experience
- Holds, or is able to obtain, CPR and First Aid Cards
- Ability and desire to work with children
- Ability to communicate positively and effectively
- Propane fueling experience preferred
- Fingerprinting and Criminal History Check at employee’s expense is Required once hired
Salary Range: $15.07 per hour
