This position is 6.75 hours per day.

 

The SPED Instructional Assistant provides overall assistance in the classroom to support the teacher and/or work with an assigned student in classroom and/or one-to-one settings. This individual is responsible for providing additional structure, supervision, and instruction to assist the teacher in achieving the goals and objectives of the student's Individual Education Program (IEP). The SPED Instructional Assistant works independently within the guidelines and direction of the supervising teacher providing educational support and behavior management; documents student progress; and serves as an escort to students during school or program activities. Our team designs a unique schedule for each of our Autistic students based on his or her Individualized Education Program (IEP).
